Exploring abandoned places is my hobby and finance it all out of my own pocket and the donations I get from the people who love watching the documentaries we make… A small donation would be greatly appreciated! ►

An abandoned building is not a forgotten building, it just hasn’t found its new lover yet. This was once the residence of an 18th century noble and his beloved family. He was a general who was active in the French revolutionary wars and defended the country with great pride. Even after he had passed, his descendants continued to live and laugh within the walls of the castle. Inside these walls, many clues and artifacts tell the events that took place here. The number of historic artifacts that have been left behind over the centuries is unfathomable. Every single room and corner in this place holds precious memories from the former times. It has now been a long time since there was activity in this wonderful place. The descendants of the French general have moved on and relocated to the bigger cities in search of work, leaving the castle behind to slowly wither away. When you walk through this place you get the feeling of being time-warped into the past. Walking through the rooms of the castle gives you the feeling of being time-warped into the past. Even though it is empty of life the walls still tell tales of the people that once lived here. If the walls in this place could talk they would tell tails of the former occupation.

  1. Heyy Lesley, Wow, that is really looking spectakular! – Such a beautifully furnished room, – actually not overdecorated but still very
elegant and stylish probably in a neo style from the late 19th century. – I especially like that beautiful and gorgeous chandelier
providing a very festive atmosphere to this room, which I would describe as a “salon”. – The antique record player is of course
a real eye catcher. – Wonderful, I am already very excited to watch your video! – See you soon, dear bro, – peace and kindest regards.

    1. WOW you turned the faucet handles and didn’t shut them off. If or when the water is turned on you could be responsible for flooding the place. 😡

  2. Wow’ just can’t believe there are places like this that still exist that are abandoned…amazing..so happy that you document these time capsules for posterity..

  3. It’s the honesty, respect, and yes, the voice. I have watched you all grow up over the last 5+ years, wonderful to watch. The narratives, filming, and humor – “that’s not alive” – is beyond compare!! Keep up the excellent documentaries.

    1. This kind of thing is an epidemic. The people who are asking for money in order to do this need to consider their criteria. Fulfilling rthe publics wrong ideas is about as ethical as nothing. If this chasracter wants to find out about the owners or occupants then go and see the Lawyers. Politicians. Local Govt. and others and demand or request answers. Its time this society was cleaned up. But it will take force to do it . We are thinking of flming a chocolate factory in order to improve kids education. Got it or not?

  5. This castle seems in such good shape. It looks like a museum with all the interiors in good shape and untouched or damaged. Such a great place. I hope some day it does become a museum. It has so much history to offer the modern world.

    2. It’s sad to see many gorgeous buildings abandoned just waiting to rot. If the owners no longer wish to live in them, just put it up for sale instead Or use it as an events place, a hotel, or a b&b. I love history and architecture, and would love to visit plsces like this. It’s like taking yourself back into the past. Learning a lot about the people and what life was back then. I’m hoping that this could be sold and renovated to preserve the building’s architecture and history.

  6. Le beau château.😍 I would love for this castle to become home again. ⏳🥀
    P. S. Is it so hard to push that like button,
    Lesley deserves it. 🤷‍♀️ 🤍 🙋‍♀️

  7. I absolutely love your channel, i love the way you respect any property you find and even tidy up if it’s been vandalized, love karen in Manchester United kingdom.

  8. Just wanted to say hello, and let you know that your doing an excellent job of bringing these castles back to life. Even if it’s an hour or thirty minutes, I enjoy listening to you expressing your thoughts and feelings about the craftsmanship and how wonderful everything that you come across is beautiful in its own way. Trust me if I could I would donate a lot of money, knowing that what your doing brings you joy especially when you dress for the part. Such a handsome man you make as you get into the role. Just absolutely awesome!!! Keep it up because it makes me smile too!!!😉☺️🤪

  9. The box under the table with two silver compartments is called a tea caddy box, tea was very expensive and people would lock it up so it wouldn’t be stolen. Stay safe.

  10. I’ve been watch urban explorers around the world for about 10 years now and you are by far my favorite channel! Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!

  11. Simplesmente maravilhoso!!!! Triste acabar no esquecimento!!! Mas, agora a beleza está na decadência!!!! Parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho!!! Abraços desde Brasil 🇧🇷

  12. The feet on the bathtubs are not called paws in America. They are called claw foot tub. Also the box you found under the little table I believe it was used to hold coffee and tea It was very expensive back in the day. Servers would take some so owners would put it in a small box and lock them up. A small box so you could move it from room to room. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you very much for all the work you do for our enjoyment.

  13. I love the quiet respect and maturity that you bring to these videos. 🙏🏻💕 no screaming about spiders, no playing tricks on other explorers…. What an incredible place! The original Masonic details in the gates of the chapel and subtle hand sign in the paintings…. Always zoom into the hand signs, jewelry and medals in those old bourgeois paintings. They reveal a lot😉🧐 You’re so brave. I hold my breath everytime you guys walk through a door..😳😂🙏🏻💕

  14. What beautiful castle, grand staircase. Basement intact and sound, beautiful tile floors. I hope someone wealthy can buy and renovate this castle. Perhaps, make it into an historical place where people pay a fair fee to see this place or even a bed and breakfast. Here in the USA, many castles, historical places where we go to see and pay a fee. Also, Biltmore castle where they have within the area of castle a Biltmore hotel so they could stay and a historical 18th century house wherein they added an inn set by the movie “Gone with the wind ” and you could chose which one you want to stay in.

  15. I can’t believe the history of that castle. You’re so Lucky to find places like that here in the US we don’t have that kind of history. You do such an awesome job with these places thank you.

    1. Yes in our country, we just destroy these gorgeous pieces of history and build modern ugly condos that cannot withstand even 50 years of wear and tear 😕 it’s disgusting the amazing pieces of history we’ve lost due to the wasteful ways of US “progress” 😡

  16. Look at the beautiful wood floor. I love how you explain to the best of your ability the story behind the places you explore. I see you’ve been on for awhile so I’ll be binging your videos. Thank you. I imagine the halls and rooms with lots of people with music and dancing and mingling together having sophisticated conversation.

  17. Love your videos, and loved this one alot. I want to talk about that skull. First thing I noticed was the large amount of mounted trophies from hunts. Whether it was just the horns, skulls, or heads. My first impression was, the guy who lived here loved the hunt, could they have also hunted humans? Then we go into a nice sitting area that leads to a side room. It looked like we just entered a Vincent Price movie. A human skull on an old desk in a red room with a sword on the mantle. As fascinating as that was, that was a dark turn. If that skull was real, no one just has that sitting on a desk for light hearted decor. I also noticed the boards that came out of that same desk. Those looked like paddles for spanking punishment. Those were used on children in the old days for discipline. That makes sense seeing that pic of the boys and the priests. I think this school was used as a religious school for boys and unfortunately bad things happened in places like that. I would love to know more about the history of this place. Also, that coat of arms on the gate caught my attention. A pyramid? In a chapel of God? That screamed Illuminati or Masons. Possibly a section of Skull and Bones, which would explain the skull on the desk. This house as beautiful as it is, may have alot more skeletons in its closet.

    1. I agree, the picture of all those boys and priests on the mansion steps seemed to indicate another purpose for the space at some point. But it was not large enough to house all those people. Odd to imagine a desk with built in paddles! Really? This was a thing?
